Calligraphy word " Al-Batin"(Name #77) - "Al-Batin": Al-Batin, the Hidden. He (swt) is hidden when He is sought by sensory perception, that is evident; but as to His being manifest to reason, that is obscure, since what is manifest is that which is not in doubt and about whose perception men do not differ. pattern is Arabic and color palette is modern. I took little inspiration for writing from the movement and harmony of Arabic Scripts like khat e diwani, Khat e diwani jeli and Riqa diwani. This cursive style developed during the reign of the early Ottoman Turks (16th century ). It was invented by Housam Roumi. It was labeled the Diwani script because it was used in the Ottoman diwan. If we see overall painting then writing style is contemporary. Writing is composed with Islamic motives which are used in Islamic architecture.They are based on curving and branching vegetal forms.
