Description
Calligraphy word " Al- Akhir" (Name #75) Al-Akhir, the Last. Whenever you ponder the order of wayfaring and observe the stages attained by those journeying towards Him, He is the last, for He is the final point to which the levels of 'knowers' ascend. For every knowing experienced this side of knowledge of Him is a step towards knowledge of Him. The highest stage is knowledge of God. So He is last with respect to wayfaring, and the first with respect to existence: the first beginning was from Him; and to Him is the last return and destination. Reference in Quran: 57:3 " He is the First and the Last and the Manifest and the Hidden, and He is Knower of all things. " I took little inspiration for writing from the movement and harmony of Arabic Scripts like khat e diwani, Khat e diwani jeli and Riqa diwani. This cursive style developed during the reign of the early Ottoman Turks (16th century ). It was invented by Housam Roumi. It was labeled the Diwani script because it was used in the Ottoman diwan. If we see overall painting then writing style is contemporary. Writing is composed with Islamic motives which are used in Islamic architecture. They are based on curving and branching vegetal forms. But some of them have foliage and linear geometric patterns in a single design, and some purely abstract . The floral designs have evolved into beautiful and highly complex patterns. I tried to use arabesque color palette in motifs but in few options color palette is inspired from contemporary colors. In mostly paintings square and round motives are used as a "nukta". Some time text is readable sometime not.
